The reading and Listening Liturgy of Word were extracted from Old and New Testaments, and lay faithful were reflected regarding sufferings of Korean tragedy and it’s longing for Peace by mating it into Zion’s trail in 2000 years ago.

The first reading was about Deuteronomy from Old Testament. It was a part of preach when Moses left Zion as a will. “If you regret and listen to Lord’s words in spirit, Lord will round you up from all the ethnic group race whom Lord had scattered. Actor Ahn, Seong-gi(John the Evangelist) was in charge of the first reading. Responding song was sung by the Prophets of the Book of Jeremiah, “Lord, please round your scattered people up.” The Gospel of Matthew and read, “If two persons among you all ask and pray together, Lord will answer. You should forgive not only seven times but also even seventy seven times.”

Homily was delivered in Italian. The Pope entreated, “We can view phrase from the Bible in an historic light which is the experience of division and conflict for more 60 years of Korean people. I plead you to believe in the power of the Cross, to embrace reconciling grace pleasantly and share with others, and to attest the reconciliation message in all domains.”

Also the Pope ended his holiness homily saying, “I want Korean faithful are prepared for the dawn of the new day. It is the day the land of the morning calm is delighted for harmony and peace with God’s blessing.”

The pray of laity was praised by both boy and girl high school students, Ki-Yeon Cho, the Vice president of Seoul Archdiocese Laity Apostate, Young-Shin Park, the North Korea support team manager in Korea Caritas International, and Hye-Jung Oh, a num of the Committee of National Reconciliation. After the Eucharistic Communion, Cardinal Andrew Soo-Jung Yeom addressed farewell, “Please pray for the peace in Korea Peninsular and the world. We will pray and work on making gradual change for Peace and R

econciliation of the community and the world.”

The Mass was ended in 1 hour and 30 minutes which is 30 minutes shorter than expectation. Entering group was small and all ceremony was processed with no unnecessary parts, and all participants were able to focus on Pope Francisco’s Homily. Accordingly to a member of department of liturgy in committee of the Popes Pastoral visit to Korea, it is because Pope Francis doesn’t want a long parade and big ceremony.
